Lets hope it FLOATS - The Great River Race 2025

A 21.6 mile rowing marathon - helping to raise funds for FLOAT!

More about the project...

The Great River Race is London's river marathon, a spectacular 21.6-mile boat race stretching from Millwall to Richmond. It's an event that brings together dedicated athletes aiming for new records and competitors who are there for the fun, fancy dress, and fundraising. It's a fantastic day out, full of energy and excitement for everyone involved.

My team and I will be taking on the challenge in our aptly named boat, "Let's Hope It FLOATs?". My team is a group of exceptional people who have supported me through every adventure. It includes my surgeon, Dr. Geoff Watson, who saved my life; my best friend, Chris Bagley; and champion rowers Ellis Haggar and Andy Kyte. This race is a crucial stepping stone for us as we prepare for an even bigger challenge: rowing the North Atlantic from Newfoundland to Falmouth in the Rannoch 12-crew boat, Roxy.
